A stylish, contemporary art print map of New Zealand!
I wanted to create a map of New Zealand as a piece of art so I decided to do a different pattern for each province depicting what each part of the country is known for.
Starting in the far north..
Northland: fishing
Auckland: sailing
Waikato: dairy farming
Bay of Plenty: Maori koru
East Coast: surf boards
Taranaki: Mt. Taranaki
Manawatu: rolling farmland
Hawke's Bay: Art Deco pattern
Wellington: wind
Tasman: sun
Marlborough: wine
West Coast: leaves of the rainforest
Canterbury: patchwork of paddocks
Otago: mountains
Southland: grass
Stewart Island: rain drops.
